No point putting in a cycle lane as the road is rarely used by cyclists and so is a waste of money. I agree with a 20 mph speed limit but as there are bumps in the its unlikely to be an issue.

I’m all for reducing traffic and speed as well as decreasing pollution. This is a ridiculous idea brought forward by somebody who doesn’t live in the area. This won’t reduce congestion, it will increase it because people will have to drive further away instead of being able to turn right at the top of Gresham road onto Kingston road. So it will impact on other roads instead ... and let’s face it traffic into Staines is a struggle already I.e Staines bridge and the traffic coming in from the crooked billet. Absolutely ridiculous that anyone experienced in planning would think this was a good suggestion. Maybe the private school can think outside the box the same way Matthew Arnold and use other options rather than inconvenience the others around them. I’m all for great ideas and thinking outside of the box, this isn’t a great so I couldn’t possibly support it

As most of my journeys are towards the Ashford area, i.e shopping , dentist, doctors etc, it will mean a much longer unnecessary journey to reach the various destinations and I certainly won't be walking! The only benefit will be to the school, so why not just be honest and say this is the sole reason for causing great inconvenience to everyone else in the area instead of dressing it up with rediculous excuses!!

Reducing traffic speed does not help social distancing. A very poorly thought out proposal

As a Budebury Road resident this proposal potentially means more vehicles cutting through and at speed than already. Potential for more larger vehicles that cannot then proceed due to the size / width of the road especially nearing Edgell Road. Potential for more cars looking for parking spaces than already - taking from residents who live here. As someone who cycles anyway I do not find these proposals useful or helpful and I vehemently oppose them.
