The footway narrows considerably from Wilkinson’s to the junction with Waterloo Road. There is not enough space for pedestrians to circulate, wait at the pedestrian crossing and maintain social distancing.
By means of temporary water filled barriers, the footway will be extended into the first lane of traffic. The scheme is designed, so that it can be modified or removed quickly in response to how it actually operates and the effects that it has.How to have your say?
